Bi Luo Chu tea originally comes from the Dongting mountain regions of the Jiangsu area. First brewed during the 16th Century Qing Dynasty period, the Emperor gave it the name of ‘Green Snail Spring’ due to its floral aroma, fruity taste and delicate appearance. There are seven grades of Biluochun tea, namely Supreme, Supreme I, Grade I, Grade II, Grade III, Chao Qing I, and Chao Qing II, in decreasing order.

Green Snail Spring - Bi Luo Chun was harvested in one of the first plucks of the season which typically means nuances in the tea’s taste. We noted the fresh appearance of the leaves and, with steeping, rich vegetal flavors come through. Its flavors are brisk and clean. Given the timing of the pluck and the fresh tastes of the tea, mineral content and antioxidants should be high.
